Game a Week: Indirect Control
A downloadable game for Windows
This piece of work was one of the submissions for my second year at university, titled 'Computer Games Design (Rapid Prototyping)'. Where I was awarded with 90 marks.
About the Project
This week's theme was 'Indirect Control'. The first thing that came to mind, especially being around the time of Christmas was the old Miniclip game Snow Line. You don't directly control the character and move them around on the screen, instead you draw the path for the player to slide along and then control the games state (pause, play, reset). So, for this week I created something inspired by Snow Line, you draw the path for the player to slide along, avoiding obstacles, collecting coins and reaching the end checkpoint.
